Hume Riverina Community Legal Service
The Hume Riverina Community Legal Service (HRCLS) is funded through the Federal Attorney-General's Department. The Commonwealth Community Legal Service Program specifically funds the Service which is administered by Victoria Legal Aid.
Upper Murray Family Care Inc successfully tendered for the provision of a legal service and was granted funding in 1998. The Community Legal Service was officially launched on 28 July 1999.
We seek to empower individuals and supply them with information that will improve their understanding of their legal problem. This may mean they are able to resolve their matter without the intervention of lawyers.
We maintain a large range of information resources including material about other services and "self-help" information on the law and related issues.
To ensure just and equitable access to legal services and resources for individuals and the community in North East Victoria and the Riverina of New South Wales.
