Getting legal advice

Legal advice is given by qualified solicitors. Some services will have specific times when you can drop in to get legal advice without an appointment. Other services may run appointment-only advice sessions. Some services do a mix of both.

To find out what days and what times legal advice is given, you will need to contact your local or specialist CLC. Visit the Find a Generalist CLC or Find a Specialist CLC section for more information about individual CLCs.

On top of giving legal advice, many of our centres provide some ongoing casework services, which is when a solicitor agrees to take on your legal ‘case’ on an ongoing basis. Not every centre does ongoing casework so you will need to check with them.
