Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre
Aims and objectives
The Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre seeks to ensure that people in the community have equal access to justice, are aware of and can assert their legal rights, and understand and respect the rights and responsibilities of others in the community.
The Centre's work also aims to ensure that the process of changing laws is responsive to changes in the community, and that any given laws have the same impact on people regardless of their income or power.
The Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre's objectives are to:
- provide accessible high quality legal casework
- reduce unmet legal need in the local community
- contribute to law and policy reform
- provide community legal education
- develop strong collaborative networks and relationships, and
- provide administration for the successful running and development of the organisation.
