Our Aims

To provide legal services of advice, representation, advocacy and referral to people labelled as having a psychiatric disability who otherwise would not have access to those services.

To educate consumers and relevant professionals and raise their awareness of patient's rights and the provisions of the Mental Health Act and the law.

To work on law reform, policy and research projects that will raise awareness of the need for rights for people living with mental illness.

To ensure that humane and appropriate treatment and care is provided in the mental health system.
