Access and Eligibility

We provide a free legal advice and free financial counselling sessions for all people who live, work or study in our catchment areas of Moreland Municipality.

We offer and use independent interpreters where required.

Appointments are required for our Legal Advice Night Service which runs from 6.30pm-8.30pm on Monday nights. Limited day time appointments are available for clients who cannot access the Night Service. All sessions are made by appointment only. Financial counselling sessions are available by appointment only.

The Centre also operates an outreach advice service at Fawkner Community Health Service, 79 Jukes Road Fawkner fortnightly on a Wednesday morning (subject to the confirmation of client appointments). Appointments are required and are to be recorded only in the Fawkner advice service area in the appointment folder.

We aim to provide advice on most areas of law but will refer out at the first instance particular areas.

The Centre does not provide telephone legal advice. Those wishing to obtain telephone legal advice are referred to Victoria Legal Aid's advice service on - 9269 0120.

The Centre will also not see people who do not fall within our catchment area unless their relevant service is unable to see them due to conflict of interest.
