Financial Counselling

Our financial counsellor assist low-income people.  Financial Counselling is a free and confidential service.  Financial Counsellors can assist those on low income and have specialist knowledge in many areas including:
 

• Centrelink matters
• Utilities
• Bankruptcy
• Debt
• Budgeting

Financial Cousellors are able to:

• Advocate and negotiate.
• Explain what you can do if you can't pay bills, fines or debts.
• Helps you work out payments with creditors.
• Advise you about possible government assistance.
• Advocate on your behalf with creditors.
• Tell you about your legal rights.
• Give you information about bankruptcy.
• Provide assistance with Centrelink.
• Refer you to other organisations that may help.

 

Financial Counsellors have training and specialist knowledge and are able to assist people dealing with financial problems.

Appointments are necessary. We do not provide drop in or night service appointments for Financial Counselling.
