
Services at Peninsula CLC
Peninsula Community Legal Centre (PCLC) is based in Frankston with branches in Bentleigh East, Cranbourne, Rosebud and Frankston North. PCLC is a free legal service and provides initial legal advice and information on legal matters.
Local solicitors volunteer their time to assist in the provision of legal advice. Community volunteers also assist by interviewing clients prior to seeing a solicitor.
Follow up work which includes; letters, documents and negotiations is completed by the solicitors employed at the legal centre. Legal centre solicitors may also provide representation in Court in some cases.
The Centre also provides an extensive outreach program to Chelsea, Hastings, Mornington and Pakenham.
PCLC also runs programs in the following areas:
Family Law Program; Duty Lawyer Dandenong Family Court and Federal Magistrates' Court. Family law appointments are also available.
Carer Parents Child Support Service helps parents/carers who have the day-to-day care of children; Liable Parents Child Support Service helps parents/carers whose children do not live with them;
Tenant/Consumer Advocacy Program can assist with negotiations preparation of applications and representation in the Civil Claims and Residential Tenancies Tribunals.

Who can use the Centre?
Anyone who lives, works or studies in the legal centre's catchment area which incorporates the Cities of Frankston, Casey, Cardinia, Glen Eira and Kingston and the Mornington Peninsula Shire is entitled to seek initial free legal advice. The provision of ongoing casework is subject to the legal centre's Advice and Casework Guidelines.
