Student Field Placements

The Legal Service is committed to providing short-term field placements to both secondary and tertiary students, depending on its capacity to appropriately supervise and provide a meaningful experience for the student at the time the placement is sought.

Generally the Service aims to provide one placement for secondary students and two placements for tertiary students each year. We do not generally have the capacity to supervise longer field placements, such as full-time three-month placements.However, all applications will be considered by the Volunteer Co-ordinator, in collaboration with the other staff.

It is preferred that field placement students live and/or study within the Service's catchment area.Those calling outside the area will generally be referred to their closest CLC.
