The Wyndham Legal Service Inc. is a community legal service which provides free, accessible and equitable legal services to people who live, work or study in the Wyndham municipality (including Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Wyndham Vale, Truganina, Tarneit, Point Cook, Little River, Werribee South, Williams Landing and Balliang East). The majority of clients in the catchment area, who are eligible for free legal assistance from Wyndham Legal Service, are on low incomes.

The municipality of Wyndham spans 542 square kilometres on a coastal plain on the western fringe of Melbourne. There is a diversity of sectors: retail, agriculture and grazing lands and; industrial and technological precincts. The Wyndham area now has an approximate population of over 128,000 and the area is still one of the fastest growing regions in Melbourne.

The catchment of Wyndham Legal Service is characterised by rapid development, inadequate infrastructure, poor public transport and relative isolation. Although there is consistent growth in the area, support services continue to be offered on a part time or outreach basis, thus providing limited operation. This in turn means that the disadvantaged within the community are either limited or find it difficult in accessing these support services.
