Client Charter
Wyndham Legal Service Inc. is a community legal centre and provides free legal advice and assistance to the people of Wyndham and surrounding areas, particularly those most disadvantaged in their access to justice.
These are some of the things that you, the client, should expect from our community legal service:
l Quality of service as promptly as possible
l Considerate care, respecting your privacy and dignity
l Adequate information on all aspects of services provided or options available in terms you can understand
l Participation in decision making which affects your own legal matters.
l The right to consent to or refuse assistance.
l The right to consent to or refuse to participate in education or research programs.
l Access to your personal legal records and to have the confidentiality of records ensured.
You can make a complaint on any aspect of the service and have that complaint fully and objectively investigated by the Service’s Committee of Management. Our reception staff can give you a copy of the Complaints Procedure.
If you are not satisfied with the action taken by the Service in relation to your complaint, you can refer the Matter to the Law Institute of Victoria.
We also encourage you to give us any suggestions as to how we may improve our service. Please talk to staff about your suggestion or feel free to complete a Feedback form and forward it to the Service. Alternatively please send us an email to wyndham_vic@clc.net.au
