Client Responsibilities -  Wyndham Legal Service

Wyndham Legal Service Client Responsibilities

The Wyndham Legal Service Inc. believes that clients have the following responsibilities:

l Responsibility to accept the consequences of their own informed decisions. It is important to realise that individual professionals vary in the extent to which they pass on information regarding issues in a client matter. Knowing this, the client is advised to ask questions about options, and if in doubt, to seek a second opinion.

l Responsibility to protect the privacy of others attending the service and to keep in confidence any information shared by group members in programs conducted by the service.

l In addition to the right to seek assistance from the Manager, a client has the responsibility to notify the Manager of concerns so that any necessary corrective action may be taken.

The Wyndham Legal Service Inc. encourages clients:

l To be actively involved in the resolution of their own affairs and to provide sufficient information so that the service can provide the most appropriate advice and options.

l To provide complete and accurate information to the worker responsible for his/her matter.

l To seek out and understand client rights in other institutions.
