Interpreters
The Access to Interpreters Working Group is pleased to provide a copy of the Interpreters Kit 2006.
This Kit is particularly relevant for CLCs that have access to the VITS and/or TIS scheme. However, all member CLCs (even those who do not have coverage under these schemes), will find it beneficial, as it also provides useful website links and tips on how to use interpreting or translating services successfully.
Important Changes to TIS: If your service is eligible for TIS funding we urge you to read the new guidelines for TIS. Refer to Chapter Two (Word) and Chapter 6 (PDF file). All CLCs under this scheme are now under a Fee payment system via the Commonwealth Community Legal Service Program (CCLSP).
