Employment Assistance Program - Free Counselling!

The Federation of Community Legal Centres in partnership with Victoria Legal Aid have negotiated free confidential counselling for Community Legal Centre workers and their families. CLC workers who have used this service speak very highly of it. It is great even if you just want to debrief or do some preventative work like developing stress or workload management techniques.

The service is provided by the OSA Group. CLC workers and their families are entitled to 3 free sessions per year (a 'year' is September to September – the contract year for the program). Plus it is 3 sessions per issue. An individual may have more than one different issue per year. For example, you may attend a session in September 2006 about a personal matter and over the next 2-3 months receive your 3 sessions for that matter. However, you may come back in January 2007 for a work related issue and you will again receive your 3 sessions for the new issue.
