Legal advice and casework

St Kilda Legal Service sees many people who have nowhere else where they can find legal assistance due to financial circumstances or other barriers.

The types of legal help available at St Kilda Legal Service are described below.

St Kilda Legal Service provides free legal assistance by appointment on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the  Night Service.

Legal assistance at the Night Service is provided by volunteer lawyers.

Appointments at the Night Service are available to people living in the Cities of Port Phillip, Stonnington and Bayside and residents of North Caulfield.

 

A limited service is also available during the day for emergencies and for people who have special needs and difficulties attending at night. 

 

St Kilda Legal Service operates a Drug Outreach Program. 

St Kilda Legal Service provides a duty lawyer service for victims of family violence at the Moorabbin Justice Centre.
